Weight?

She has a swollen knee, had it since we got her (just over year ago), vets have looked at it but its just one of those mysteries, she can get stiff and there isn't much we can do but all she has to do is stand in the field and be a companion and let us feed her and put rugs and spray on her. I assure you, the little lady is well looked after its just sad we don't know what wrong with the knee.

oh no, wasn't saying she wasn't well looked after! just thought she looked a bit lame but wasn't sure as the video was bumpy!

She's defo not looking under weight, and same about her swollen knee! have the vets scanned, xrayed it? is she a companion because of this issue?

My vets have not scanned it as she developed it before we got her :) She was a riding school pony and one day her knee just grew (They say they scanned it and it was inconclusive) so they retired her, had a teen hack her out every so often in summer and then they shut the riding school and she popped out a foal as her last effort to the place and we went and bought her as my old companion had passed away. I did ride her last summer but this summer she seems to be a bit stiffer so she won't be ridden again I think. I try my best with supplements, stretching and sometimes lunging but it's just one of those things that old ponies are gonna have.

Well she is slim and has developed a reaction to bugs and I just wanted to make sure that she was looked well enough to tackle it. I can't feed her as she has a choking problem, she is just the horse with the longest medical history ever and we have only had her over a year!

a few summers ago my mare was bitten, she had a big lump on her girth area, it got bigger over a few days so I called the vet out and by the time they arrived, she had lumps all over her body, just small ones! she just needed an antihistamine injection as was as right as rain after that! so she had a fly rug the rest of that summer as we had really bad horse flies at that yard!

Also she had a horrible choke 2 winters ago, so I've swapped her feed, shes on allen and page fast fibre, is a bowl of mash and nothing to choke on, so when the winter comes it might be worth trying her on that!

Similar situation, we had the vet out and she got a antihistamine jag, steriods wasn't an option due to risk of laminitis. We have ordered Deosect spray on special delivery at great expense and 2 new fly rugs for the 2 of our silly little ponies hehe

If we need to feed her its hay and dry mix, the vets thought she might have a herniated oesophogas (apologize for the spelling) so anything that wouldn't expand until past that point would be okay.
