It is so hard being a long-distance owner, and I can’t wait to be able to travel to see my girl.
Anyway, we’re about 6 weeks post EMS diagnosis, and at around the halfway point before we have another vet check up. With a more intensive exercise regime in place (at least 30 mins per day trot and canter; plus 2-3 longer hacks per week) and some jiggerypokery with feed (double and triple netted, free swinging, soaked hay nets) plus 250ml of low s/s chaff for supplements, and we are now starting to see a difference in her body shape, and her belly is starting to decrease
top photo is from Oct last year, and the last “naked” pic I have before rugs were permanently on - bottom photo is middle of April. Most recent photo is the snacking ? photo, which was taken last week
ETA: she is 24/7 on a multi-surface track with no grass
