Weird Gait???

My horse has been diagnosed with a neck injury causing hind limb ataxia. The thing is he is now walking with his back legs as if he is trying to place one foot directly in front of the other. Like he is doing pin-knobs. Weird, anyone else ever seen a horse do this?

That sounds like a progression of the ataxia. I think I'd be contacting the vet again.

Vet saw him on Tuesday, he is being weaned off oral steroids at the moment. So worried about him. Not sure if he will ever come good.
