weird hoof!

I noticed when picking out my girls feet that on both front feet on her sole she has larger areas of sole growth in little circles - one each side of the frog - i just chipped the top off and purple sprayed - anyone know what these maybe? just havent seen them before.

Could be natural exfoliation of the sole?

probably just being neurotic new horse owner so yes! just wierd as both circular shaped on either side of frog and havent seen it before.

It 'sounds' like it is natural exfoliation. The sole will go a little bit crumbly and there might be the odd lump of sole that comes off as you run the hoof pick over it. Could you get us a piccy so we can see?

If you are off on hols and it is sole exfoliation it should have finished by the time you come back.
