So Roo was fine when turned out this morning, coming in I kept hearing a really loud 'clunk' noise (even over conversation with my friend) seemed to come from her hind leg so watched her walk and while her stride was pretty much normal you can see something move/give in a really weird way just above her hock.
She's not comfortable - didnt' want to stand on it when tied up and was fussing / wouldn't settle. Vet came out and agrees with me it's completely not normal and she's uncomfortable but couldn't work out why. There's no swelling or heat anywhere and couldn't find anythign on palpation.
The plan at the moment is box rest for next 5/6 days (assuming nothing gets worse) on danilon and then re-assess. If not better then the thinking at the moment is to take her up for investigations. We took some video which the vet is going to show to the other vets at the vet hospital to see if any of them have come across it before. There's a link below - it doesn't show brilliantly on the video unfortunatly.
has anyone come across anythign similar before?
