What the hell do I do with myself, to say I'm feeling a little lost today would be an understatement!
Freddie went to his new loan home yesterday :( I miss him already and it also feels so odd! This time last year I had 3 horses, now there are none! Anyone else been in a similar position? What did you do with yourselves??!

P.S thank you so so much to everyone that helped with the Fred situation. I really hope he settles well and has a lovely time with his new rider. He wouldnt have found a home without the help of you guys and your generosity. I will keep you all updated on his progress, can't wait to go visit in 2 weeks!

I feel strange just because mine have moved onto summer grazing now. I keep looking in the wrong field and panicing because nobody is in there!
Hope Freddie settles well!

Vizzy Ive been there, its just so strange opening the bedroom curtains and seeing an empty field. I still look over the cowyard gate and expect to see him there having come in out of the flies. He was a Welsh section D x TB and scared of his own shadow and when his friend NF had to be put down it wasnt fair to keep him on his own. Hopefully I will get to see him over the summer.

I just keep myself busy with the dogs and now Im a lady who lunches.:D

LOL I like the lady who lunches idea! Lack of ladies to lunch with though! I think thats what is panicing me more than anything, my life has centred around the yard for the last year, the only people I see day to day are up there, I suddenly feel very lost and isolated without a need to go there daily.

The other two lived at home for their last years, I'm very glad I have moved and don't have to look out on an empty field anymore, that wasnt nice, I know where you are coming from there DG.

Well you are going to have to have lunch with me as we are so close. At the moment Ive been shopping for England , have 3 weddings this month and only half of one outfit. The first wedding is this Saturday so off 2/morrow for a hat, shoes etc. Then I have dogs arriving for anything for 3days to 2weeks so its all go here but when I have a complete free day I will let you know.

Im so pleased you found Freddie a good home and dont be too downhearted, 2 weeks is not far away when you see him again.

well you know i'll do lunch so long as it is followed with a pint of lager! ;) lol

i went a year without a horse and know how it isolates you if you've always been around horsey people, it's hard to try and find something else to fill the time (i was kinda lucky as i have kids) but it does happen. something will just click one day and you will wonder why you were so worried.
