Anyone seen this before? A warm to touch, sort of wet/oily patch on left hindleg. Not swollen, bumpy, or itchy, or hair that comes out easily. Been there for a few days now.

My dark haired horse looks like that after laying in a poop pile!
Or they’ve got sap on them from rubbing on trees...
When you describe it as greasy looking i thought of horse poop smear...
why oh why they insist on pooping in the middle of the stable and then lay in it, is beyond comprehension, especially when there’s loads of space to poop outside their preferred ‘bed zone’!
