I have reported her yes, but thats annoymous (hopefully) and I really dont think she will frequent Horse and Hound forum but thats a risk I have taken.

Whether you believe it or not I really do not have the balls to go and take her horses rug off and take pics. My heart was racing just taking the pics! Sounds ridiculous I know but there you are and I assure you I am being deadly serious!:/

No organisation can give out /complainant details without breaking the Data Protection law, so you will have anonymity there.

I can fully understand why some people may be frightened/wary of taking rugs off incase they are seen. Not everyone has a brass neck (unlike me! :eek: ). If you feel uncomfortable doing so OP, don't do it, and leave it to the authorities.:)
 
If you are a little scared to then I will email these pics to a Head of one of the WHW centres tonight, just pm me the name of the horse and area. Simple as. I won't mind whatever the outcome.
 
Just a thought after reading this thread - could you not take the rig off at 6.30 in the morning when you go down, if the owner always goes down after 1pm? The likelihood of her suddenly turning up early would be incredibly slim - I just think if would help your case :)
 
You have my sympathy, its totally depressing when a horse on the yard receives sub standard care and with some owners its very difficult to approach them as they're likely to be intimidating and verbally aggressive to deter anyone ever challenging them.

Had one woman once, who was so weird that I had to tell myself I was over reacting when I started worrying that she might harm my horses. However, a couple of other liveries sheepishly mentioned having the same thought. Thankfully, the YO did listen and kicked the woman off the yard.

I think you need some support in sorting this, either try the WHW or BHS officer to come and see you again, or have a horsey friend around for moral support and to confirm that you are right to be concerned for this horse, otherwise, you may just give up as it seems such a thankless task in getting someone to listen.

BTW, shame you didn't mention the RSPCA in your thread. Guarantee you would have got a lot more righteous indignation on your behalf.:D
 
Nothing useful to add but wondered when the feet photos were taken -it looks very dry to have been recently and he doesn't have muddy feathers.

We had 4 (two different owners) on my yard with feet that made this horse look quite acceptable. Multiple complaints to the YO who told us to mind our own business and when the RSPCA got called out to look, lied through their teeth and said they didn't know how bad the feet were. Several other liveries knew one of the owners and she had a reputation as long as your arm for neglect.
