I've just bought 32kg of class 1 carrots for £3.20, as well as 12 swedes for 10p each and 6 parsnips at 10p each......all from.....

ASDA!!!!

The carrots had yesterday's sell before date(wayhay for stupid trading standards!) and the rest all had todays date on. It's a new store that opened 2 weeks ago so they are still working out forecasts etc. When I picked up the swedes the guy looked at me funny so I told him they were for ponies - he said he had some carrots so I said I'd take 2 crates at 10p a kg!

Indeed, they were pleased they had something to get their teeth into after I had been feeding them carrot battons that I got cheap yesterday!
