that story brings a tear to my eye. My late father was a huge fan of Guide dogs for the Blind and at his funeral the collection was in aid of them. One of the last times I saw Dad, he took me to the dentist for a sedation appointment and there was a lady with a beautiful Goldie in the waiting room, Dad spent a lovely half hour chatting to her and the dog whilst i had me teeth fixed!

Yep, same as, I've had a rocket before now for approaching a Guide Dog without permission, quite rightly too.

My neighbour had a lovely big lean black lab called Angus but he didn't work out, just wanted to play all the time, but decided when he replaced him with a female retriever, to keep him as a pet because he had grown so attached, he was a great dog.

Absolutely fantastic.
There's no words for these dogs, how intelligent and loyal they are!
Well done to all of them - and that includes police dogs, bomb and drug sniffer dogs, guide dogs, and any aid dog, including the Paws For Therapy dogs!
I read a story where a lady suffered severe epileptic fits and they found her a dog who was trained to detect minute changes in her body - he warned her a fit was coming on by jumping up and barking at her, giving her enough time to put her daughter in bed, and get herself lay down in a safe environment.

Well done George, and all the other aid dogs all over! :)
