Not sure if anyone has said anything yet - but what an acheivement. This time last year he wasn't riding and today he jumped clear twice in the show jumping and finished 17th.

I'm really glad that he did so well.

Thrilled to hear the commentators say that having enjoyed himself so much, he seems to being thinking he may well keep Gandalf, and keep aiming for 2012!!

He's one of my all time heroes so what a treat to see him in competition (especially at this level) again!

Do you know the thing I noticed with great pleasure about him? When he came out of the dressage arena he took his hat off and saluted the stewards who were moving the white rails into place.

What a gent! I've seen very few other riders with the common courtesy to thank them for doing what must be a blinking hard job in that heat and humidity!
