After a particularly distressing morning as predicted, I read the lastest Riding Club newsletter this afternoon to discover that I have been awarded the (senior section obviously!)

"SUE HOGG TROPHY RESULT FOR WINTER LEAGUE 2007/2008

Presented to the senior and Junior competitors who have taken part in both the Show Jumping and Dressage Winter Leagues and who have shown the most imporvement over the competition. "

This winter is the first time I have competed for 15 years since having my first child and the very first time my 15yr old mare has ever competed in her life - she has only ever hunted! I paid just £5 for this mare 3 years ago as a token gesture to her previous owners and make her legally mine - what a bargain!

So - just to prove - there is life after children!
