well here we go again....pointless ramble

After never wanting to break in another pony, I have officially started my welsh sec C Lily! I had advertised her for sale but after several calls from nutters and timewasters decided to put her on grass livery and break her this spring and show her a bit and hopefully find a nice PC home.
Started lunging this morning and she has picked up walk and trot and halt with just one tantrum - this pony is a bit of a diva! She also showed some fabulous trot work and would go far in dressage with the right rider!! She has been split up from her friend, as I can't put up with them being silly about each other!! They can still see each other and TBH wern't that worried, both have company next door anyway. I am very very tempted to break her to harness - the YO's dad was a champion 4 in hand in his day so I shall have to bribe him with whiskey for some lessons!!
here is Lily now and I will post another pic in a few weeks which will hopefully see the beginnings of some muscle tone and the start of a decent pony!!

What a lovely pony - she looks a lovely typey C, and hasn't she held her condition well over the winter - how's she bred and how big is she? I'm sure someone will be keen to get their hands on her once she's broken and going!

She's 13hh and by a Thorneyside stallion out of an Abercippin mare. Unfortunatly she has never done well In hand in Welsh classes as she doesn't have the typical high knee action, so I am going to trim and plait her and show her as a hunter pony.
I think she will make a fab ride and drive once going - call me soft but I'm not in a desparate hurry to sell her at the mo, nearly took her to the sales but chickened out last minute!! would rather find a jockey for a couple of years then let her have another foal.....
