Still have no idea what to call him. Maybe we'll just see what takes our fancy over the next few days.

Well collected him this morning. Loaded him and brought him home. He travelled perfectly. I put him in the main corral so that he could go and meet all the horses. He will definitely be going in with the boys though as he really seems to feel at home with them. They all seemed to like him too.....even Spotty Horse who has this habit of pretending to like them ...... and then lunge at them when they are least expecting it, LOL!! Spots has been perfectly behaved though so later this afternoon we will let Teddy, Custard, Sundance, whatever his name is..... into this field.

We had a light snowfall last night so we are back to white again. Photos taken about an hour ago when he first came out of the trailer. He's settled well.

"Hello my name is Oscar. Who are you?"

"Oooh please talk to me.....I'm a nice big Spotty Horse really!"

Well the old owner says that he goes VERY dark and very dappley in the summer. He is dark, although even in those photos he looks lighter than he does in real life.

He's 12 years old, Quarter Horse (as if you couldn't tell by the huge bum

), gelding, VERY quiet and very stocky, pleasant and incredibly polite horse. I think he is larger than I had previously thought; I'd say he is actually about 15.3hh.

Thank you everyone - I think he is rather sweet.

I really don't know what to call him. Perhaps I'll call him Custard, daughter can call him Teddy-bear and husband can call him Sundance.

Oh I really like him Tia. I think Oscar really could have a rival for your affection. What a gentle little chap he looks.

You must be thrilled. You were right too, those pics from the old owner really didn't do him any justice.

What an adorable face. I love him! Custard, I think.
Whatever knack you have of spotting the good 'uns, Tia, I think you should bottle it and make your fortune!

On the lines of Sundance...there's of course the connection to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

What about Cassidy....connected somehow eh?

I have a hen called Custard!
