Remember my last post : http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=488076

EVERYONE said i should hog. :)
I really like it, think she will look even better when she has a bit more top line. But still i think she pulls it off :)
No more getting squashed to *TRY* and plait it/solo comb it!
I also took the liberty of taking her beard and tidying up her legs, and a small bib clip, she will be living out this winter so didn't want to take any more off her :) she looks so grown up and smart!!

So i did!!

She looks lovely :), I personally prefer long manes, so they have something to flick flys off with in the summer, plus I like the natural look, but she does look smart.

All cobs should be hogged - my personal opinion of course ! - looks smart, neat, tidy and workmanlike. Teamed up with Nice short 'banged' pulled tail, trimmed up legs and head,

Finished off with a smart plain brown bridle with a broad flat noseband - nothing looks better !

Your cob looks fantastic hogged - well done ....love the black ears ! x

What a pity - you've removed some shade from her eyes, some of her fly defence, and some shelter from her neck when the winter is starting.

A bit of a shame really,

She is pretty, but I do feel a little sad when a cob loses their hair. Natures first line of protection.

It will grow back!! its not like it has disappeared forever :p if she gets chilly (which i highley doubt) i can always pop a rug on her.

She looks good. She has the right shaped neck to make it a good look.

And to those who aren't keen: it's all or nothing for cobs in showing! Mine was all off and won best cob class. I'll give the traditional look a go next year. :)
