Yep, I decided that it might as well be today. I've posted a couple of pictures in the picture gallery if anyone wants to take a look.

It was a very windy day, but she did amazingly well - took it all in her stride. She was a lot weaker than I expected and I don't seem to have a lot of bend on the right rein, but I'm sure with time and patience that will improve.

I've had the biggest grin on my face all day today. My girl is back.

That is such great news, I have been following Honey's progress and am so pleased for you both!

You have brought tears to my eyes! I am so pleased for you both, you have been through such a bad time. Onwards and upwards!
Good luck and keep us posted with her progress - it is SO good to see you back on board.

Hi there. I haven't been able to ride Honey for 13 months now. She had a KS op in June last year and was rehabing from that, when someone let her out of her stable one night and she ended up going thru a cattle grid (twice) in October last year. She shouldn't really have survived, but she did. The reason she only has three exercise boots on is because her left fore is still slightly open and I it would cause her too much discomfort to have anything on there. Her right hind is still not fully closed yet either on the inner thigh, so I think she's done amazingly well. My vet had told me that I wouldn't really know whether Honey would be mentally stable after everything that has happened to her over the past year until I got back on board.

Well we've got a way to go yet, but she seems fine upstairs.

Wow , well done to you both I am really pleased all your hard work and Honey being so good has paid off for you.
She is looking great.

Ah, this is THAT horse....looking good...I was just curious about the bandage...
She's healed well then - hope her progress continues.

Thrilled and delighted for you - it is the least you both deserve. Just goes to show what a lot of love and top class care can do for you! I should think Honey is chuffed to bits to have you back on board so she can now go have some fun. Onwards and upwards!

I hope you get the merry go round and not the rollercoater from now on in!
