Back to the rain and mud and for some of us more snow, wet for the foreseeable future, fields are a mudbath, no grass, everyone has run out of hay, it's cold again, just like january, at this rate I highly doubt we will see a summer at all......

We have snow and it has been all day. Our farmer is very good and just delivers our hay and straw as we need it. Someone phoned him up a month ago wanting to buy 30 bales off him and he turned them away as he wanted to make sure his regular customers were all ok. Very nice farmer!

well the snow is back here again, it was only gone for 2 weeks after the 2 months of snow.

My horses are very bored!

It's just a joke. Can't say I 've known a winter like it, not only is the country a nation of ********s, but a proper ****pit as well.......I can foresee very little grass growth, a poor hay crop, sky high prices next winter, I am seriously looking at selling up - This isn't a hobby anymore just one big chore, I really REALLY HATE this country, especially now the gales have arrived to just top it all off- what a S.H.I.T.H.O.L.E

You sound REALLY fed up!

I know how you feel though, I have decided to close my liveries down this year before next winter, I just can't do it anymore, I will earn more money working in Tesco's part time! and stay dry, warm and smell nice!

Yep my field is a mud bath again...but my water butts are all full so I do not have to wheel water round the roads in my trolley...things are growing...even if slowly, had a load more hay delivered at the weekend and TOUCH WOOD my horses feet have been ok and sore free for 3 weeks since the last shoeing, so he is able to be walked for 5 mins on the road to see how he goes....so for me, things are looking up and I count my blessings that it is rain falling in Derbys and not snow!

Yep my fields were drying up nicely, now there mud baths again :( My boys are still in at night was hoping to put them out at the start of the holidays - that aint gonna happen :(
