sounds like my OH, he liked chestnuts until an 'episode' with one, now likes very dark bay/black.
i would like a coloured but he detests them! and coloured cobs! no way...theres a youngster up the road id quite like to buy, he could turn out magnificent imo but oh'd hit the roof!

My goodness, this made me think.
Over the years my son and I have had:
6 bays
2 chestnut mares
2 chestnut geldings
1 black
2 strawberry roans
2 chocolate roans
1 palomino.
1 fleabitten grey.


Of all these it would be really difficult to pick a favourite as they all were special.

1 dun with list and zebra marks which turned dapple grey all the way to white

1 light grey born strawberry roan
1 iron grey now fleabitten grey

1 palomino gelding

1 chestnut with roan flecking on flank gelding

1 chestnut gelding
2 grey mares

and a black mare on loan
