so after finding out yesterday that Oscar is not an evil napper, but a pony with a stone in his frog
I went to the show today feeling a bit calmer. didn't expect much but thought it would be good experience. so plaited him all up and by the time I got on they were all ready calling for the Ridden Hack class. So jumped on and did a 10 minute warmup....he was impeccably behaved! Could tell he was excited to be at a show again but didn't put a hoof wrong.
we did our little show which was ok but we need lots of practice but hey it was our first show!
best end to the show was getting placed 2nd - ok there were only 5 but I still wasn't expecting a rosette
Didn't get many decent pics as either he looked like a donkey or I looked too fat
He really just wants to go home in these pics!!! We need a bit more muscle and alot more topline but for a horse that was skin and bone (well nearly) 3 months ago, I don't think he's looking too bad!
think we'll concentrate on riding horse/riding club horse in future as a few people commented he was a bit heavy for a hack?
