Well took us just over 2 and 1/2hours to get there - left at 6.30am and got there with 3hours to spare so Hattie to stretch her legs and we could walk the XC

The event was beautiful -very well run, everyone was really cheery, the courses both SJ and XC were very well presented and different

All in all a lovely atmosphere and great event in the making

Anyway onto the dressage - all the marks in my arena was squished between 29.0 and about 43 so was all very close. Hattie was pretty explosive

and got very very bored in the test (having done the pony club area test on thursday she found intro 102 very very dull!

) so we managed to break in canter!!

but she went nicely for the rest of it and managed a score of 31.1 much to my amazement!

She SJed absolutely beautifully - probably the best ride she has ever given me - felt textbook
grin.gif
went clear and i was very very pleased with her
cool.gif
then onto the XC - i knew people were picking up time penalties so i knew i had to stay safe but still push for the time. In the warm up she just exploded and exploded and exploded again
blush.gif
She was walking along and then out of the blue leaping in the air off all fours, bronching and generally being a prat! But as soon as she was out of the start box she gave me the ride of my life!. Just galloping and jumping - had a slight look at the water but she's never done a dew pond before so that was inevitable - but was soooooo pleased with her!!
grin.gif
and also was 7 secs inside the time aswell!

So came 3rd!!!!! and im guessing - qualified for Grassroots Champs at Aston-le-walls

grin.gif

Well done - I was there too in IRF Sec C and I saw you showjump! We were watching and commenting on how nice your round was and then I heard your name announced at the end and realised it was you
grin.gif
! I saw you hacking back from the XC too just as we were leaving.
I had a bit of a disaster in the dressage (many little explosions and very nearly a big explosion!) - got 39.0 and I thought it should have been worse, but he went clear SJ and clear jumping XC with a few time penalties
smile.gif
. I thought it was a lovely event too
