I've decided. The pony is going up for sale. i'll speak to my instructor when i get back form my holiday next week and see how much etc...for him. I will be absolutly distraught when he leaves as we have such a special bond and he is such a special and fantastic pony. I'm wanting to event as i'm done with dressage but for a number of reasons the pony cannot event so hes going to have to go :( Wish i could have 2 but no wa ycould i afford £400 a month!

I feel awful so i'm wanting to hear happy stories of ponies being sold to super homes!

Aww, poor you. Tough decision :(

But if it cheers you up any, my first pony got sold on when I outgrew him... we couldn't afford to keep him just as a pet alongside my mother's horse and the thing that I moved on to, and he was still plenty young enough to be the super wee pony he was for me, for the next owner. We found him an absolutely amazing home, where he has been ever since (over 15 years). He has taught two generations of that family to ride and is now living a very happy retirement being a much loved family pet. We still get christmas cards/a photo every year from his owners, we couldn't have found a better home if we designed it :)
