... and I'm not going to be able to ride for another 4-5 months at the least. It's already been over 3 months

.

I'm booked in for the surgery on my hip on 20th February as they need time to sort out the medication I'm going to need to take before and after to prevent blood clots occuring.
Basically they said if it hasn't fixed itself with this much rest then it's not going to. I was given the 'option' to not have the op done but that would mean I wouldn't be able to carry on riding or walking for long distances

!!

If all goes really really well then I'll be on crutches for 4 days and then will have 3 months of rest/ physio before being able to get back on and take things very slowly for another month. However if they find any ligament damage or have to do a bit more than is planned (which I've been told is a possibility) then I could be on crutches for up to a month and then rest for 5 months!

Please please could you keep your fingers crossed that it is the latter.... I'm missing doing everything so much. I'm quite gutted actually that it's had to come to this.
Thanks

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. You are obviously a person who is use to being very active.

Big fingers crossed for your full and speedy recovery.

Thanks all, I'm just trying to get my head round it tonight! I very nearly burst into tears when it was decided, but just about managed to control myself!
