I went shopping at the weekend for a jacket, shirt etc to wear to the competition at the end of the month.
I tried it all on with my boots and everything and was gobsmacked to see a) i didn't look like as big a prat as I'd thought and b) how much it makes you look as if you know what you're doing!!
Which is worrying when I very clearly don't..........!

So my cunning plan now is to get Hovis looking amazing and scrub up myself to thus give the impression of equestrian supremacy which might put everyone off long enough for them to not notice how horrendously I ride (well at least until the second fence!!). Do you think it might work?!!

I'm now messing myself more than I was as I thought I was just entering a clear round. Apparently not. It's a clear round first then my YO has put us into the 50cm CLASS. No one said anything about doing a class! I'm hoping they don't introduce us as Hovis and K riding from XXXXXX stables - Derek will never get any business again if they see the state of my riding

Mym mum always told me that if you look like you know what your doing you probably do deep down!
Good luck you'll be fine

Don't put yourself down - I'm sure your riding is fine and you'll have a great time. You'll look great in all your new gear and with Hovis nice and shiny, I expect you'll feel fantastic.
I'm planning my first show in ages over Easter, so I know how you feel!
