well, ive had enough. *rant*

we are moving yards this saturday
we are currently at a riding school and im fed up of the abuse and the disgusting ways the ponys are treated.
ive kept it to my self untill i saw one little pony that is skin and bone
kept in a stable all day with no hay or bedding,
then at night with alittle bed and half a hay net being tacked up and used as a school pony at the weekend and i made my thoughts clear about the state of the poor little thing.
tonight ive heard that the yard has had a visit from the rspca, and guess what ive got the blame for it.
it needed doing but i hadnt yet.
so on saturday we are off and ive found a lovely yard with only another 4 liverys and in its half the price of what we are paying and 100% better,cleaner and safer.
sorry for the rant but its been boiling for a while.

Do you know if the pony has been ill or is at risk of laminitis? My horse is in all day and has been put on shavings as he eats his bed, but I refuse to let him get lami.

Oh thats terrible, have the rspca done anything for it? It dosen't matter who rang them, it needed doing.

Good for you! Unfortunately, someone had to do it eventully, and by the sounds, it was a good thing too.
I wouldn't worry about what they say, as come Saturday you won't be there to put up with it!!

poor pony glad theyve been reported, good on you for moving to a better yard.
theres a riding school near me and my friend went there for work experience and they never clean their waterers, so my friend went to clean them and she found a dead bird in one of them that have obviously been there for a while. i dont understand how some riding schools get away with these thinngs.

Just be thankful you're out of there and hope that the rspca may get them to buck up their act!

the pony is prone to lami.
the issue is that he is kept in 24/7 in a dark stable standing in a corner.
he's eyes are really sunken and the colour inside his lips is really pale and yellow in colour. i know my horse isnt like that.
he does have a starvation paddock but cant be bothered to charge the battery for the fence so keeps a couple of them in full time.
its just the condition they are kept in.
i dont think members of the public would ride there if they could see the conditions they are kept in or what cond the horses should be in this time of the year.
