Got down the yard last night to find Senza in her stable with her turn out under rug ripped in to 1000 pieces. Luckily the brand new t/o rug was untouched, phew!!!
Anyway didn't think nothing of it and tacked up and went down to the school. Walked around for a bit and then asked for trot and she was hopping lame
Got off her and trotted her up on the hard surface and she was just as lame. There is not heat or swelling though so she must of just pulled something trying to get the rug off in a panick.
Decided its best to leave her in today but went down this morning to check her and keep her calm whilst the others went out (she has smashed the stable up 3 times in the past coz of the others going out without her
).
Anyway i trotted her up again and luckily she was nowhere near as lame as she was last night, it was literally only just visible thank god. She also was a good girl when the others were turnt out. A bit of fidgeting but stood quitely eating her hay until one of them went out of sight and she started rearing and bucking
But settled again as soon as they came out from behind the bush
A few people on the yard have said that if she is sound tomorrow then they would still take her XC on Sunday, i on the other hand am really worried that i could make matters worse if i dont give it enough time to heal.
I am really gutted as i was so looking forward to this event as it is our first one this year and our first ever XC. Not to mention all the time i have put in getting her fit etc but i'm not sure its a risk i am willing to take
