My sister got her first horse last month, looks like she's fed up looking after him already ... which is what me and mum warned my dad would happen, because she's a lazy s*d and has no clue how much work is actually involved in looking after a horse of your own - she thought that mucking Dylan out 3 times a week when we had him was a tough gig!

She's off school because she's (allegedly) not feeling well, and dad's just gone off to do the horse for her (as he also did yesterday) while she sits and watches TV. If I had tried that with my horse at that age I would probably have been booted out the door and told if I didn't do it, then it was getting sold. In fact, if I'd tried to get a day off school without being visibly ill at that age I'd have been booted out the door and told I was going whether I liked it or not.

Sorry, sounds petty but it really p*sses me off and I needed a rant. My dad thinks the sun shines out her backside, whereas I can do NOTHING right.

GRRR.

Don't worry, try to let it wash over your head. It always seems to be the same, I'm the oldest child and cannot do anything right but my little brother who sits on the xbox all day doing nothing - the sun shines out of his backside.

I think we just have to suck it up! :(

just carry on the way you are and maybe occasionally pass comments like.. where is (your sister)? try not to do her horse and your parents will soon realise.. good luck :)
