Went up the yard to bring the mare in for riding this morning. Our field has a footpath running alongside (but fenced so they can't touch the horses) and at the moment she is in season. So as I brought her in gelding came galloping up and I thought oh I take it he wants to come in to but no.... with the audience of ramblers along the footpath he continued up the field and started jumping on my mare! I didnt know what to do! Everyone was laughing and I just went bright red. ...... most embarrassing time of my life! !

I can beat that.

Many years ago I was out hacking on my gelding and my friend was with me on her stallion. Halted at the cross roads in our village waiting for the traffic to clear so that we could cross when I suddenly saw some hooves flashing past my head. Yup, stallion was trying to mount my gelding with an audience of half the local school children.

Sniggers!

I used to ride a rather well known Trakehner stallion. Took him out for a hack, and the randy little ****** was overcome with emotion at the sight of a deliciously plump black backside in front of him, started hopping around and shouting, then took a flying leap at it.

It wasn't a beautifully bred Trakehner mare... It was a cow - grazing peacefully on the local common.

There were many observers - I was mortified...

Brilliant. Same happened to a former YO. She admonished her stallion by saying 'at least let the rider get off first'. :D

Dressage123- don't suppose you got a photo ?:D

Haha these are funny. Horserider no I didnt get a photo! I was pulling on the leadrope of my mare who had her feet well and truly stuck in the ground! She wasnt going anywhere

Bit of a game girl then !

brigit well, it was a mounted treasure hunt. Perhaps your old gelding thought he'd mount his own treasure. Easy mistake...

mine was worse. I had a donkey stallion and was a bit short of grazing. Friends wanted a lawnmower for a few weeks in their paddock so off he went. Unloaded him, he took one look at friends long haired husband and well, you can guess what happened then.
I was mortified. :D but it was very funny.

he was forever hanging "it" out and waving it around and "it" was VERY long.
Friend with a child arrived. Child looks at the donk and asks mother "why has that donkey got 5 legs?"

we had someone out to cut the grass the other night, we also had a mare to cover in the field next door. Think the poor guy wondered what the hell ............

Many years ago when riding out with my friend and her mare we were passing a couple of parked cars when my friends mare stopped for a wee. Nothing would move her, the traffic was held up in both directions and she just kept on weeing and weeing. The longer it went on the redder and redder my friend got. I could not do anything for laughing. It looked like gallons of urine running down the road. When the mare had finished she walked quietly on, very much lighter.
