Seems I no longer need to buy the Horse and Hound each week, just come on here and ask was my friends photo in it + chestnut horse, having bought the mag for over 40 years maybe I should put the money to something else.:(:(:(:(:(

Actually when you're 14 years old with non horsey parents, £2.40 a week is quite a lot to pay out. I know when I was that age, I got my H&H second or third hand unless we were actually horse hunting in which case I was queuing up at the newsagents on a Thursday morning. Maybe you were lucky enough to have it bought for you every week.

Huh?

I think I'm missing something... the point of the post

What is it about?

BSJAsj123 put a post up asking if her friend + chestnut horse were in this week's H&H mag and I think Echo Bravo was a little miffed that some people don't buy H&H (which pays for the forum), but still use the forum to find stuff out rather than looking in it

(hope this is as impartial as I intended it to be!)

Someone asked earlier if their mate was in H&H, which IMO is fair enough if you don't normally buy the mag.

OP, unless the only reason that you buy H&H is to look for mentions of your friends, not sure your plan is going to work that well...:p:D

As much as I don't agree with EB, i have no intention of sticking up for the poster being disscussed either, if she insists on posting such rubbish then she should expect some stick for it, being 14 has bugger all to do with it, she clearly has a decent brain in her head but dosen't engage it very often!!

I can understand the issue but have to say I don't buy the H&H mag regularly(sp??) although this is mainly because my brain is like a sieve and pigs will fly before I remember to do something on a weekly basis! Also, as much as BSJAsj123 irritates me with her silly posts, I just don't answer them. At the end of the day she is asking a question she wants to know the answer to and yes they are annoying, but if you don't want to answer her questions then why bother replying??

(Just to add, I remember importnant stuff, my brain isn't THAT sieve-like, just that I have tried before and still cant ever remember to buy a magazine weekly)

Evening :)
im sorry i dont buy this mag, as i said i dont really read mags
iv read the news online
but you started a thread coz i dont read the H&H mag?
im 14, all i want is advice dont like my posts leave them?
no offenivce but your mostly all adults and your picking on a 14 year old kid? should be ashamed :) x

I am beinning to believe that BSJA 123 is not in fact a 14 year old girl, but either a current or old poster with an alter ego. I cannot believe that any 14 year old could be that annoying and ridiculous and only ever post threads that annoy the majority of people. Oh and who has such little knowledge of what to do with her horse, but has friends who ride to a level where they are reported on in H&H!

We really need a like button :D

My thoughts too

A few years ago, after months of lurking, I was driven to post my first post on HHO because someone had got really annoyed at a trivial matter and started a whole thread about it and it made me laugh how riled they were getting...I think I put something along the lines of "you lot crack me up sometimes". It's funny to see that some things don't change! Who cares if someone posts a 'rubbish' thread - surely you have more important things going on in your life than to be bothered by it, stop taking HHO so seriously.

H&H Mag has, over the last 10 years become a shadow of its former self.
if i wanted the "state the bleeding obvious" type of article i would buy Your Horse
It was a brilliant mag for racing/hunting/show jumping/showing
Its **** now....Sadly.
But then, the horseworld in general has taken a downturn in the last 10 yrs

Oh for goodness sake! A 60 year old woman starting a thread to pick on a 14 year old girl. Have you not managed to pick up some manners in your life?
OP you should be ashamed of yourself!!
It really doesnt matter if she buys the magazine from a shop or reads it online, i have never bought the magazine, i always read it online and as a student who trys very hard to save money for horsey business i see no problem in this.
Yes sjumper123 does post a lot of threads and probly asks questions a lot of people already know the answer to, but at only 14yrs old there will still be a lot of things for her to learn.
And as for alter egos, what utter nonsense. stop picking on little girls and start acting your age.
rant over.

You KNOW this is utter nonsense because.....?
There have been any number of perople with more than one persona on this forum in the past. There was even a persona that was made up of about 5 people who posted under their own user names and 'fed' the issues to the made up person.
The poster in this instance posts in a manner which is so OTT as to suggest that it is in fact someone on a wind up. I think this even more so after the 'Bye' thread which was posted just after the suggestion was made that she may not actually be a 'real' person.

have i ever bought h&h????.......nope
have i any intention of ever buying h&h???????........nope
is that anyones business??????????........nope
will i ever ask for any advice on this forum again??????........hell NO

but i will read and recieve sound advice from this forum (until they start to charge for the pleasure)

as a mother in her mid 30's who recently bought my first horse i am learning as i go...and joined this forum for ADVICE....

i am to say the least disgusted at this forum tonite....WHO do you people think you are?????? silly questions to you are very ligitimate questions to others....

there is a name for whats happening here....BULLYING

if i was her mother...and i think you know who im talking about id be very upset at what is going on here... if you dont like her threads DONT READ THEM....OR REPLY TO THEM....

*member of no cliqque as quite frankly there all a load of horse manure*

I completely agree!! It certainly is not worth £2.40 EVERY week! It's even too expensive on subscription IMO. If I find anything I want to read in it, I'll read it in the shop. Would rather read the Racing Post every day (which I do, but work pays for that).
