...and had a look at Hector for me, she thinks the reason he looks odd behind is because his front feet are sore from the shoeing after the abcess (as he has horrendus flat feet, farrier had to put some pretty drastic nails in) and so he is putting alot of strain on his hind suspenseries, she said the tendon he damaged last year is fine, infact she was quite pleased with it, but he was very low behind, and didnt look comfortable. his suspenseries are not looking good. she wants to get him standing up more on his front feet so that they dont have to take all the strain.
She has given me some bute to give him to see if he will cope with it (he had very bad stomach problems last time he was on bute) to see if that stops the front feet hurting, so am trying it for a week, and if his droppings start to get loose we will have to rethink.
Not sure if its good or bad news really, she agreed that he looked fed up, but thought we should try the bute before any dicisions are made
