That pony would be a bit stiff and 'feeling it' today, after our 7 hours shenanigans at the beach yesterday [As I am currently walking like a cripple and aching ALL over. Seriously. I have muscles aching that I didn't even know I had!!!!]

So, went up to the field to check her over and trot her up....

Got there, called her...she came cantering up to me...gave her a fuss, felt her legs, etc. Seemed fine, went to then trot her up....at which point, the cob mare who was grazing near her, did her usual trick of jumping out the little paddock they were in, back into the big field [there's a gap in the fencing opened up for them further back up the field].

Leaving pony on her own -_- So at which point she runs flat out up and down the fenceline, calling her head off to other horses who are down in the lower big field, doing the biggest extended trot she could do, with matching pirouettes at the end of each length.

Then couldn't catch her to save my life. Finally shooed her out of the little paddock back into the big one when she remembered after 20 minutes or so, that there WAS a gate at the top end and her world wasn't going to end!

Yep...safe to say she's sound as a pound.

I'm however....more lame for sure chasing her up and down the hill haha!

That's flipping typical!

I'm the same though as I haven't ridden for ages. My mare is finding the return to work far easier than I am. ;)

LOL - I took Dave xc training as opportunity came up 2 weeks ago. Neither of us as fit as should be but I think sometimes you just have to go for it and be prepared to pull up a bit early. Well, we more than got through it. He loved it and was well "in the zone" by the time we did a mini course at the end - I reckon my arms are a good few iinches longer than they were :D. By the time my lovely lift-people had driven us home I could hardly straighten my knees. Dave bounced off the trailer and out into the field after a wee dinner. Next day I got out of bed like a 90 year old, up to yard, brought him in and thought best do a trot up. He trotted up sound as a pound and full of beans - mum felt she should be sent to the knackers yard, as my friend said, everything but my eyelashes ached (even the tops of my feet, wt*?!)!! But bl**dy hell, it was fun!!

The problem is you went to bed while Dave went out into the field! If you'd walked round all night, you'd be fine today too :D

That's the reason I put pony back out in the field haha! 'Oh she can mooch around and stretch it off.....'

Me however...different story.

Gah. My muscles are spent haha.

The post a few ones above from someone aching too haha! :D

But it's ok...she's a tomboy. Dave would suit her just as well hahahaha :p
