Well they are back!!!

Some of you may have read my post last night about seeing a couple of girls riding last night with no hi-viz on...so promply kitted them out and sent them on there way...well tonight they have been returned by the girls and one of there mums came to thank me....plus a tin of Quality Street....how very nice!! so the tin is opened help yourself!! not many purple ones left LOL

How can people live in the country and not wear hi viz jackets!!!!!! I was driving home from the yard and I saw a white dog on the road so I stopped (quite suddenly) there was a 12 year old gir in a navy school uniform at the end of the lead and I didnt see her scared the daylight out of me!!!!! She was walking in the middle of a country road, she looked at me coz I had braked so suddenly and I just wound the window down and told her i saw the dog not her and please to wear a reflective jacket in the dark, today I saw her with a refelective band round her and on the dog

They had got caught out as one of there ponies had lost a shoe and was finding it difficult to walk....but needless to say they should have set out in high viz gear in the first place..bet they learnt a valuble lesson

I went on a hunt and decided to say goodnight and head home there was alot of roadwork to get back to boxes, we had to go road way as was unsure of way back over the mountain. we then caught up with another group of riders and between about 8 of us not one of us had any hi viz

I was mortified as I never ride on roads without any on, so from now on I will be keeping a vest folded up in my pocket when I go hunting.

how sweet, nice to know when you're appreciated, plus the fact they had informed their parents - I'm surprised as when I was a kid, I would have been scared to tell my mum of being in a dangerous 'avoidable' situation - she'd have never let me out again lol!!! The whole story is very admirable!! xx
