...to make you feel glad to be alive:) The weather here has been stunning, cloudless blue skies, warm, and with just enough of a breeze to keep you cool.

Henry did some great marked retrieves, some so-so blind ones (he didn't so much scent out the dummy as fall over it but at least he always found it:rolleyes:), stole a lab's ball but, crucially, brought it back every time **faints with shock**, and nailed every recall (except one, but he was led astray by a lab and a springer so I'll let him off:D). He retrieved from the river beautifully, and he kept checking up on where I was instead of just hooning about like a loon. He didn't even leap onto the lady on the mobility scooter, even though she was making oogly woogly noises at him:eek::D

Wish every day could be like this! How have your days been?:)

Awww what a good boy :D My dog just runs away if you give her a ball haha
Was a nice day here to, so went and clipped my friends horse which turned out well, except his ears :o He decided he wanted hairy ears and wouldnt let us clip them but we eventually got them done by teasing him with hard feed lol but theres still little random hairy bits on his ears ... Whoopseys :D ... Then the dog got a nice walk round the park, so all in all, quite a good day

Its definately been 1 of those days....we need a 'like' button on here!!
Had fab hack out and Bob is STILL being a well behaved terrorist....i love sunny sundays!!!

I stayed in bed as long as possible, taught for four hours and then took my dog for a walk. Plus points - no one fell off, my top class did some brilliant grid work and my doggy managed to remember what the stop whistle meant despite me forgetting my whistle and us being in the woods! Bad moments include, every second child bursting into tears because for some reason since I last taught them they've all become a bag of nerves, two ponies trying to chuck the same kid off and standing in dog muck!
All in all my day could have been much worse! :D

Well done Henry and spuds!

Well done Henry! :D

I can't say we've achieved much in the field of obedience but it has been a wonderful doggy weekend, I've only just got back in and am totally knackered, will post some pics in a bit if any of them have come out alright.

Dax has been asleep for a record amount of time in the past two days. :D

I'm so glad we've had a good day - even snoozing Cayla:p:D

TG, what an awesome looking hack:D BC, pics please! Kirstyhen, what have you done to those innocent little kiddies:mad::eek::p;) Rather you than me with the little sods I mean darlings... :p Nicole007, Henry would never have brought the ball back a while ago, it used to be so embarrassing when he stole other dogs' toys:o I was so proud of him:)

I also feel very virtuous as I have cleaned the bathroom, the kitchen, the living room and the inside of the car:eek: As my house is so titchy, I now only have my bedroom to clean:D

Most of my pics have turned out to be rubbish so I'll wait for everyone else to post theirs on the husky forum before I do a picture post. :p

I'll just leave this one here for Cyrus in case she passes by...

I haven't done anything to these ones, haven't taught them in weeks!! The helper that had a nervous breakdown in my lead rein lesson ride yesterday and wailed 'I can't do anything right' however.... :o :D

Bar one or two hours which actually make me want to die, I have a really good bunch of kids, and weirdly they seem to like me

Emma woke me up late. 6AM so a lie in for me!:D

Then played on FB for a while.

Collected hay. Had to buy some in this year but all is in the barn now.

Brought horse down to ride but took his rug off and he has rainscald so back he went. Poor chap. All the horrid changeable weather last weekend meant i couldnt get a rug on him till Monday and then it went on when he was wet. Thin skinned chestnut. He will be ok but couldnt ride him as it was on one side where the saddle goes.

So instead I dug up some ragwort, did a bit of cleaning (only a little!), cleaned my old car, put the roof on and tucked her up for the winter.

Just done some work for school and now on here!:)

So a day of getting lots of little things done really.:)

Erm... What happened with that helper?!

I seem to be the choice helper for running alongside our diddy shetlands at the RS :D Watching me canter with a pony is a sight to behold!!

Of course they like you, Im sure you're a fab instructor!

Haven't seen my dogs since 5pm yesterday :o
My shiny night gear has arrived so I can do walking in the dark as of tomorrow, yay.
And I may or may have signed up to a tracking seminar which is a six hour drive away...hmm, hopefully my car will not explode and my dog will not be so tired that he falls out of the boot and refuses to track.
And I'm off to the Schutzhund world champs in sunny Spain the week after next so looking forward to that :)

She had the misfortune to be leading the sh***iest little git of a mare, with the toddiest wee girl on, when pony broke into a bucking fit. It sent her into a bit of a tizz and even after she switched ponies I had to keep reminding her what to do. I think she thought I was picking on her and had a bit of a meltdown! She was ok in the end though, and she had a good lesson today, so I think she's back on form!

I am too nice to my helpers, I do all the cantering with the ones that need leading! After 16 canters I'm nearly dead! :D However, a lot of my helpers can't keep up with the bigger ponies, and a lot of my kids are very nervous, so I'd rather do the running than risk a helper falling over or letting go of the pony!

PMSL at Henry falling over the item to be retrieved! I've yet to try hiding the toys-next session, maybe.

A good day: Bear retrieves every time, despite the distractions (Zak trying to pounce on him from the bench, Brig body slamming him to get to the ball first). He also brings the correct/original toy even if another toy is then thrown. Zak shows no inclination to retrieve, so probably not going to any good as a gun dog, bless him. I'm not looking to have them trained up to perfection, just to retrieve, not run away at gunshot etc.

The 4 of us had a fabulous walk in the sunshine and I blithely ignored the possibility of being attacked (Mrs Paranoid!). I didn't worry about heeling too much and consequently the babies were much better behaved-funny, that. All gorgeous.

Yesterday was my good day, took Evie to Weston Park and with one exception she was a very good girl, unfortunately the exception was that she was a right grump to the gorgeous Dax. Glad to see she found a friend at the husky meet today BC, rather a handsome one too. Couldn't get over how Dax has matured, she's a proper grown up girl now. Evie was suitably knackered last night too, bliss! Today was spent taking daughter back to Leahurst and taking son for a driving lesson (not good for the nerves).

Poor Evie was rightly disgruntled with the fawning, squirming thing that kept trying to demand her mum's attention. :p

He is a handsome chap isn't he? A full 50kg of adult male malamute, quite alarming when he stands up to give you a cuddle. We had a big pack walk of about 30 dogs and then playtime for nearly three hours on the campsite so she is utterly knackered, it was a really lovely day. Lots of tiny wee husky pups toddling about to make me all broody...

ETA: And we also met a beautiful wolf hybrid, I have no idea of what breeding but by god she looked and moved like a wolf, stunning creature and an awful lot more 'domesticated' than I had imagined. I got to have a squeeze and a cuddle!

Awww :o Im glad she felt better!

Whenever I run with a small person cantering on the lead rein, I end up cantering myself! Correct leading leg and all! :D

The Princessley One spent many happy hours yesterday on Holkham beach hooning as a Spangle must. The only down side was we were with our friends from Scotland and their rescue collie who still hasn't quite learnt that nipping ones chum will result in getting bitten back and a few spats broke out. Nothing serious though and said collie has come on leaps and bounds since we first met her in the summer, by the evening they were happily laid flat out in front of the fire together!
