I posted previously about my lame TB, vet was suspecting issues with the stifle. Cut a long story short we didnt even bother looking at the stifle as we had seen enough just looking at his pasterns.

Turns out his pastern joint is collapsing, to the point where there is more or less no joint space between the bones - explaining the intermittent lameness due to the concussion. There was alot of calcification around this joint also. The plantar tarsal ligament also had a degree of calcification to it too.

Also interesting to see that my horse that supposedly has had no surgery to him appeard to have 3 pins through his fetlock!

Vet has not given a good long term prognosis in terms of ridden work. For a horse of 9 years old my vet described him having the joints of a horse much older - hes had a hard life :(

Pretty gutted :(
