Wellie boots/winter boots for short wide calves?

HELP!! I have short wide calves and with winter rapidly approaching, i need to get some boots asap, on a bit of a budget so nothing widely expensive atm. Idea's?

I got a pair of Dunlop Actifort wellies recently - They're black with red grippy soles & most importantly, steel toecaps ! They were under £30, and if they're too long for you, you can trim them down with scissors ! Think most of the dunlop wellies are goodly wide. . .

Hi - just brought this up in a search. Wondered how you were doing The Polo Bear with the Dunlop calf length wellies for wear/durability - and what they were like fit wise? Do you order the next size up from your normal shoes and wear the thick socks in them always, do they really keep your feet warm? Or do they come up large so you order the same size? I'm a 4 normally in shoes, but if they're narrow in the foot I go for a 4.5 or sometimes a 5. So I think probably a size 5 in wellies?
