Is it just me or are they getting more and more hopeless?!

Tayberry...lasted 1-2 months

My sister has been through most of the brands at mole avon...

and HUNTERS SINCE JAN GOT CRACKS ALL OVER!!!!!!

What is going wrong?!! Must all be made in China or something...

So, to anyone with DECENT wellies...

what brand?
how long did they last (or even better are they still going)?
and are they up to use several times a day/everyday for several hours?

I had a pair of the harry hall ones which were good.
My friend had a pair of Rydale ones but she would leave them covered in mud and leave them in the sun and they didn't last her very long, I think thats what does it.

I have leather hunters. I have had them 3 years, and in winter they are pretty much on all day with doing the horses and walking the dogs!

They are VERY stiff to start, and gave me MASSIVE blisters, (solved by wearing carrier bags on my feet for a while until the leather softened).

They are very warm, although fairly heavy!

Expensive though.....they were a present!

My entire family swears by Barbour wellies. My last pair which I use when popping home to see family and dogs have lasted forever - since prior to selling my horses when they were used at least 2-3hours per day. Mum, Dad and little sis all have pairs they use to take out our weimaraners on walks twice per day and general garden use. Mum and little sis have only bought new pairs of Barbours for the prettier colours they now do lol whereas Dad's have been going for a good 2 years .

I have a pair of £8 wellies that I bought from Countrywide four years ago. They get a hell of a lot of, er......welly.....and are still going strong! I couldnt be doing with expensive brands - Mum had numerous pairs of Hunters that always seemed to let her down, so we've opted for cheap and cheerful, and been pleasantly surprised!

I got some really horrid ones from one of the cheap shoe shops or woolies??

They are so horrible that I would love them to break..... and because of that I know I will be stuck with them forever and ever!!!!

Given up on wellies - always used to have Hunters, but the newer ones are useless

Wear Tuffa Suffolks now, once broken in very comfy. Worn all day to do cattle, horses and dogs

My mum has Hunters and can't wear them because they aren't as comfy as her cheap ones.

I have a good old pair of Dunlop ones, have had them for quite a few years now...

My 8 year old Hunters are still going strong- they've done tough yard work, stud work, my own horses, dairy farming and a season of lambing, not to mention numerous country walks.

I have a pair of Stormwells ... still going strong after 4 years.

My muck boots are my favourite boots / wellies. They take a real bashing and so far have never let me down (had them a year).

rimfrost riders are NEARLY wellies (unless you take a dip in a deep stream, so I found out) and have lasted me 2 winters, friend has leather stalking boots which she swears by!

I wear industrial wellies with the toe tectors & they have lasted for years. I don't know the make but if you buy clothing which is designed for the building industry invariably they are well made & will last....... & will be better priced than something labelled 'Equine'

My old Hunters lasted 15 years! I went to buy new ones recently that they are now made in China, no longer in Scotland and they are much poorer quality- what a shame.

I went through 3 pairs of Joules wellies in 6 months and finally got my money back after they split every time on the toe- rubbish- shame as they were funky!

I have some toggi's, they have a really good sole and I have had them for over 5 years. I use them on the yard and my mum uses the same pair for dog walking, never had a problem with them.

Ah! I've got a pair of La Chamaeu (think that's how you spell it). I've had them for nearly 11 years now, wearing them every day in winter and when it's wet in summer. They have never let me down and I love them dearly!!
