I've had two pair of hunters and both have leaked after a short while (less than 6 months), and at £45 to £50 a pop I wont be investing in any more (boo hoo to Hunter Wellies) and they wernt seconds neither....although perhaps I should of got some of them instead at half the price.

maybe I got Camerton's seconds....and Camerton got mine...were they pink?

Muck boots best every, last ages, really comfy, keep you warm and dry, and stretch enough that you can tuck jeans into them

In my opinion beware of the riding style muck boot !
I used one pair for years and they were brilliant couldnt fault them !!
then I brought another pair to replace them and they split in less than 3 months I for one won't be buying another pair.
anyone tried the just togs version ???

my joules wellies split in a matter of weeks despite having a year guarentee(sp) so i got my money back and would not bother with them.

IMHO buy some Le Chamau ones, my last ones cost £135 but they have lasted 5 years

!!! And during the winter I never have them off my feet! They are warm (unlike Hunters), comfortable, and as they have zips on the sides great to wear with jeans.

When you work out that a pair of Hunters only last about 6 months it works out cheaper just to buy Chammies in the first place!

Yep I donned a pair of them two, lasted a few weeks...which is why I invested in a pair of hunters...but then they didnt last me long neither and they were twice the price!, I could of just bought 4 pairs of Joules, at least I'd of had a 4 flashy patterns and loud colours to choose from every time I went down to my yard!

If you are a big welly person try Le Chameau you can pay £300 for a pair but I got mine for £100 and I've ridden in them, walked a million miles and stood in sub-zero temperatures in them too...they are fantastic

However for £3.99 I got a pair of green ones for when standing in concrete my feet rattle around a bit and they somehow pull my socks off but any market dealer will sell you a pair...I really want some of those ones with frog eyes as I feel i missed out as a child

After many pairs of wellies including good horsey brand names, i became fed up of them making my feet really cold after mucking out loads of stables as well as them splitting within weeks of purchase with general work on a yard so i bought some Dunlop ones from Millets the outdoor shop for ten pounds! I still have them four years later with no sign of a crack or leaks or my feet freezing to death. I love them!
xx

I've been in Hunters for years, but am sick of the soles splitting. They last for years but end up looking great on top and split underneath. I'm planning on investing in some Le Chameaus instead. Not very helpful though seeing as they are £100+ sorry! It's worth investing in a really good pair though IMO.

Hunters are awful, in my opinion. Not that comfy and split after a few months' wear. I have had a pair of £70 Le Chameau boots for about 2 years now, I wear them every day and they are still as good as new, so cheaper in the long run - they are super comfy and really warm. My husband has Aigles and likes them, his lasted about 5 years and have just perished. He has chosen to come over to the dark side with a pair of Le Chameau's now though as they are so comfy!
