Just want people's opinions i had a really lovely pair of hunters a few years ago which i wore untill there was holes in the soles. I replaced them with Le Chemaeau have only lasted a couple of years ( bit disappointing) Now wondering whether to go for the Hunter Balmorals with the neoprene lining in but have head that since hunter moved production to china the quality is really poor and i have read poor reviews.

So what are good wellington boots that will last and keep feet warm and dry?
 
I have a pair of old hunters that lasted years, then bought a new pair as they were a bit big (still nothing wrong with them), and had the new pair for a year, i wore them ll last winter and they're still going but the rubber looks as though it might be perishing a bit around the ankle. Def not as good quality as the old ones!
 
Just bought a pair of Bucklers neoprene wellies :) they are mens but they luckily do size 5, like the Muckboots but i think because they are classed as work boots, probably last a lot longer, warm and waterproof :) winter.. hit me:)4
Been disappointed with the last few pairs of Muckboots/Rok boots, splitting has been a major problem!
 
I swear by muckboots (the original make rather than the copies) and they are sooo comfortable and warm in winter. The only thing is make sure you get a 'model' (can't think if the word!) that have chunky soles, as there most common horsey ones called 'tack' have almost smooth bottoms which are useless in mud! I learnt that the hard way......
 
I go through wellies like no tomorrow! Since I work in mine comfort is number one, does anyone recommend a pair which are hard wearing but comfortable to wear for hours straight? Brought a pair of hunters a few years back that lasted 6 months before they got holes in, then got a pair of muck boots (the original make) that lasted 4 months, and now just brought a pair of roks that have lasted a month! Most of the time I just give up caring and put up with wet feet but there is nothing worse than poo juice from the muck heap seeping into your wellies!!!!
 
Have had Hunters in the past - the last pair though didn't make it through their first year before cracking at the ankle. As they are now sooooo expensive and the quality has gone downhill I'm making do with a cheapy pair (about £20) from Brantano. So far they've outlasted my old Hunters with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I'm not wishing to publicise the brand, it's just that for the money I think they're just as good as more expensive ones, and if you do stab them with a muck fork, or somehow manage to damage them then it's no hassle to replace them.

I wear wellies all day for work (lots of hosing/walking through mud etc) and these Ariats are probably the best I've bought in years.They are frigging BOILING in the summer though, I thought the Mudbusters were bad but these are super warm. Will be fab for winter! Hunters are pretty naff nowadays, did like my Le Chameaus though.
 
I love my Aigle Parcours. The neoprene lined are my favourite but the un-lined version are just as good with a pair of snuggly boot liners. Without a doubt the hardest wearing & most comfortable pair of wellies ever! :) My Daughter drove me mad for a pair of the Hunter Lady Balmoral last winter and as we have the same size feet I admit to wearing them on the odd occasion but they are not in the same league as Aigles and are already starting to break down.
 
Muck boot company for the winter! I've got a pair of derby house own brand wellies which are similar to hunters for the summer. But most of the time I just wear my dubarrys.
 
Another vote for the Aigle boots. I've had mine as long as I've had my horse which is 5 years and its only this year that they've started to fall apart although a bit of rubber glue down the seam would sort that out. sadly the heels have worn down so il be buying another pair.
 
Another vote for aigle parcours. Had my first pair for 10 years (still have them, just slightly perished and no tread left but fine for a spare pair, and 2 years into my 2nd pair. I have the normal ones but you can get neoprene lining ones. I just use fleece welly socks when cold.

They are by far the best wellies. No blisters even with thin socks. I walk miles in mine & live in them.

I also love me aigles. have had a couple of pairs of modern hunters that fell apart within a year (although they got replaced by the shop so kind of lasted 2 years for the cost of 1 pair!)
 
Thanks everyone :-) am off welly shopping at the weekend. Will look at aigles. Although i do occassionally ride in mine. So what are good wellies for riding in??
 
For me there are no good wellies for riding in! Hate, hate riding in wellies, they also bag and sag down the leg and make me look (and feel like Nora Batty). I wear my Aigles all over the place day in day out, but change to Ariat Grassmeres for everyday riding.

Ditto this. Since changing ownership they just dont seem to last. My last pair needed re-sealing twice in the first 6 months I owned them. Mudruckers are awesome. Both dry AND really warm. In summer though, I do revert back to cheapo tesco wellies otherwise the mudruckers make my feet sweat terribly.
