Ok, so the mud is fast approaching! lol! I live in my ariat devon pro's but they are getting recked. So i want a pair wellies (well unless you can recomend any other foot wear?) I dont mind wearing wellies, but cannot stand how cold my feet go i them, no matter how many pairs of socks i have on!
Do muckboots keep your feet any warmer?

Come on recomend wellies!

I like hunter wellies (the pale blue ones) with the matching wellie socks... That way you can chuck the socks into the washing machine if you fill yor boots with water, put a dry pair in & you are good to go

I've got a pair of muckboots which I've had for 3 years and live in most of the winter. Noticed my feet are much warmer, in fact on the odd occasion forgotton socks (going to yard straight from work) I have worn them without socks and still been okay. They're a bit tatty (puppy had a bit of chew) and faded but still going strong.

I have the muck boot type ones, they are so very warm the downside is the grip on them is pretty poor so you tend to fly in mud and on ice

I get cold feet.

My Hunter wellies dont keep them warm, even with the Hunter welly socks inside.

Last year I bought some Tuffa Suffolk boots, and they are soo warm and toasty, my feet never get cold in them, they are lined in sheepskin, and are leather so look really nice too.

Ive never cleaned them (oops) and they are still totally waterproof in any situation and good as new

I have some neoprene lined Le Chameau that are comfortable and warm

But I have wrecked them so need to replace them too - trying to decide whether to splash out or go for something cheaper that I can ride in too

I second the Tuffa Suffolks - I've worn mine pretty much every day for the last year and they are still looking good. Toasty warm in winter, strangely cool in the summer and I could walk for miles in them, they're so comfy!

They ain't cheap, but I got so tired of spending 30 quid on wellies that lasted a couple of months, I'd rather spend a bit more.

i've had a pair of B&Q Wellies (£8.99) for the last 5 years; they get worn every day, and so far are hole-less!!!!! (as i wear 3 pairs of wooly socks anyway, i never seem to get cold feet! LOL!!)

i've got really bad circulation so even get cold feet in summer and since i needed yard boots and boots for riding i just stuck with my cheapo rubber riding boots but i used neoprene wetsuit socks! on ebay
i'm very skinny legged so always managed to fill my boots full of water:/ but the neoprene socks are soo good! i' don't get cold anymore and they're not too thick so whatever boots i wear i'm always gonna be warm and dry-they're a godsend!
they even kept me warm when me and the oh went to ride in iceland

I think the key to wellies and warm feet is to make sure that they have a really thick sole - the more distance between the floor and your foot the warmer! I have a pair of Toggi wellies and they have a really thick sole and I've never had cold feet. They weren't cheap - about £65 - but they're just about to go into their 4th winter so probably cost per wear tiny.

Mine are the Toggi Wanderer plus - you can see the difference in the thickness of the sole between those and the Wharfe style.

I have some stormwells (wellies) and havent had a problem with them. To save feet getting cold, wear two thin pairs of socks, and a carroer bag inside your wellies. Fab toasty dry feet!

I've got some Hunters which are about to go into their first winter. Am going to invest in some hunter welly socks, but so far would deffo recommend the Hunters - I practically live in them!
