I have tried numerous make wellies none of which have lasted more than a couple of years. My last pair were Caldine and I loved them, so comfortable but after just under two years, split along the seam between boot and sole. Any recommendations? I don't mind the cost as long as they last.

There was a thread about wellies a little while ago if you search… I’ve just bought a new pair of Aigle parcours iso boots to replace mine which were starting to perish at the front of the ankle. They lasted 8 years so I wanted the same again. My old ones cost me £156 and the new ones full price were £184 but I got them for less than £160 in the sale…

Not Chameaus. Bought a new pair 2 years ago, leaked within a year so they replaced. The replacement pair started leaking last week, but 6 days out of warranty.

I had a pair that lasted 4 years, but apparently they’ve changed factory.

Mine are just starting to craze at the "toe bend" and I've had them about six years now. They've done a lot of miles and I reckon I'll probably get another year or so out of them, so about the same as you.

I think I paid £120 for mine (I love sales!) and they've been one of the best values pairs of boots I've ever bought.

It was quite a wrench putting them in the bin as I bought them when I still had my horse and my lurcher, I lost them both within 2 weeks in 2016, so they brought back memories

Another recommendation for Aigles Parcours Iso. I replaced my old ones after 9 years - they split like Widgeon's at the toe bend. My new ones are on their 3rd winter now and still look like new. As they have neoprene inside, the old ones are still waterproof unless submerged for a long time and functional so I initially kept them at the farm as an emergency pair if I had to go straight form work but more recently, the Ukrainian girl who's living with my sister has adopted them as hers when she comes to the farm with me. In Ukraine she lived in a city centre apartment in Kiev so couldn't have pets but she loves animals and horses in particular. She's a total natural with them.

Shop around - if you don't mind unfashionable colours you can usually pick up a pair in a sale somewhere. I paid £80 for my first pair (brown) and £110 for my second (olive green). I'm a really common size too (6) so usually find it difficult to get things in the sale.

Just did a quick search and found them for £120. Never heard of the company selling them so no idea if they're any good Aigle Parcours 2 Vario Boot Khaki | Griggs | Griggs Agri

I've also been bombarded with Facebook adverts recently for Rockfish wellies which look very similar and are about £70. I've no idea if they're any good though.

I absolutely LOVE my GS Equestrian Neoprene Rippon wellies - so comfy, cosy and are still going strong after more than a year!

Here is a link to them (you’ll receive an extra 15% off using this link ?)

Thanks everyone, I will check out the ones recommended. I do like to be able to try them on so buying on line is a pain. I am usually a size 4 but occasionally a size 5.

Not bought their wellies but Griggs Agriculture very good. Bought a couple of Barbour jackets from them which were considerably less expensive than anywhere else. I think they have an equestrian section as well.

they don’t have neoprene lining so will be a bit cheaper , had to look as I thought I had paid too much , but I didn’t and the neoprene lining is important for me as my feet are very sensitive to cold
