I've found a pony I regretfully sold a few years back, she's at Wellington Riding and is used for childrens lessons! I'm going to visit her tommorow. She's been renamed Sally (formerly Pride), has anyone seen/ridden her there? If so how was she?

Also how's Wellington for care etc? It looks like a very good estabishment, thank you all

Thank you, the ponies do look in excellent shape from the photos I've seen on their website

Well I liked the place as I told you, I never rode your horse, just remembered seeing her around! Did you know chatterhappy ponies (the kids program) was filmed there (sorry a bit off topic)

Goodness I left in 1995! There are still horses and ponies there from my days though. The teaching is very good and the stable management is great, if I had a horse I would be happy for them to go there - they spend loads of time out in huge fields and come in every day. They are fed well thought the winter and shod/wormed, vaccinated etc regularly. They also do plenty of hacking - it's not just loads of school work.

Hi Jess! yes I remember Chatterhappy ponys yonks a go when I was much younger lol !

Happy Horse thank you, that sounds wonderful. I'm relieved to hear that there's variation in their routines and plenty of turnout, she wasn't the sort that would appreciate limited turnout or being in 24/7. She's a lucky pony, I'm so glad she's ended up with them..she could be in a much worser home which was always my worse fear because she was a great little pony. Apparently she's v.popular with the children lol and still loves her jumping which dosn't surprise me

I used to work there! All the ponies in my care were extremely well looked after! We used to really take pride in them looking well, and they make sure they only work a certain number of hours a day.

They live out all year round (ponies that is) and are fed extra in the winter and rugged if they need it.

Obviously, they don't get the one to one love they would in a private home, but they are all happy and well cared for and get to just be horses in the evenings which I think is important.

I miss some of the horses and ponies soooo much! They were all such charachters!
