I’ve had my welshie in a loose ring single joint for quite some time. We’ve started doing more work and he’s gone mouthy. He’s had his teeth checked and there was nothing major wrong. I’ve rung the bit bank and they have said to use an eggbutt with a lozenge. I’ve had him in a single jointed eggbutt snaffle before and he got his tongue over it. Rode him in a snaffle with a lozenge and the same thing has happened tonight. It’s never happened in the loose ring so is it he just doesn’t like the eggbutt bit or is there more to it?
