Hey all,
I wondered if you could help me out. My friend has a section D filly of Rotherdale bloodlines, Filly is Rotherdale Cerys. She was just wanting a bit of history really as to whether they were "good" lines or not?

She got the pony very cheap from somebody having to sell quick & wonders whether she's quids in / what the current market prices for such a pony would be.

Here's the NED link:

Nope, just your bog standard in-bred Welsh D I'm affraid :D She has some good Nebo blood in her - the same 2 stallions about 8 times - but otherwise her bloodlines are normal.

Rotherdale stud has bred plenty of quality ridden cobs, instead of looking at the bloodlines, look at the cob, a good judge will not look at the blood lines but at the horse in front of them. Bloodlines will probably be more important if you intend to breed from her, but while there are some bloodlines I do like putting together I still try to match a stallion to a particular mare rather than a particular blood line.
