Welsh d gelding - White halter or Bridle?

Hi All

Just wondered what other people do when they are showing their welsh geldings in hand. I have always shown mine in a bridle, with brass fittings as it makes him look very mature and as he moves like a stallion it suits him well, but i have seen some people show geldings in white halters too.

My boy has quite a long head, and am wondering if a chunky plaited white halter may break this up a bit?

what do you all do? Im showing on sunday and thought i mat give it a try? its only a local m&m show, not a welsh show or anything major.

I have always shown mine in a bridle, but I only show at local levels. There is always a mixture of bridles and halters. I prefer a bridle as my boy is quite big so I need a bit of control!
