Welshie - what is max weight he could take?

Following on from my previous post - (someone asked me to ride there 12.2 pony as its very sharp and the owner is too heavy - am 5ft9, thin and weigh 9 and half stone) i think i will look a bit silly but it got me thinking, what do you think my welshie could take?? he needs the exercise and theres no-one to ride him, my daughter cant ride for another 6 weeks and hes just getting fat! do you think i would be too big for him just to walk for 15/20 mins a few days a week??

I think he will be fine with you on him,tiny bit tall on him but otherwise fine . Btw you could always lunge him ?

Sorry I think that pony looks a tad too fine to carry 9 and a half stone. Our 12.2 of the same build is limited to 8st.
Could you not long rein and lunge instead (or pop him in a jiffy bag, my daughter would love him!)

I ride my 12hh pony long distance and i'm 10st she doesnt struggle at all.. shes the grey in my siggy...

If he is true 12.2 she should be fine IMO.

I do think youd be a little too big, but agree with the others why dont you just lunge/long rein him? Or put up an advert for some one the right size, to ride him for the next 6 weeks whilst your daughter cant ride? (Cute pony btw

Our 12.2 has a limit of 8 stone and is a similar build.
How old is the pony?

Thank you, he is a pretty little thing, everyone is always commenting on him! hes also a really cheeky pony and hes the boss in the field!
