I have also put this in the breeding section but I know a few people who are pretty hot on breeding don't venture in there

What do you think of Weltmeyer as a sire and as a grand sire for a dressage horse? (obviously not at the same time

Has a reputation for throwing them hot and fizzy, but I like him as a grandsire, perhaps with a Donnerhall cross for rideability. I wonder if you can get Weltmeyer semen any more anyway???

There are a number of Weltmeyer sons out there, one British one is Wurlitzer who went to GP and is black (and throws black offspring a lot), but he is rather small.

my mares grandsire (on mother side) is Weltmeyer and she can be a little tricky sometimes - but as said above crossed with the Donnerhall would be good !!

the only thing i wouldnt do (and ive tried not to) is cross Weltmeyer and have him on both sides !

I have a Don Frederico mare, and have had lots of people say that Don Frederico/Weltmeyer crosses are brilliant.

They do seem to be very popular and I haven't (yet!) seen a bad one. I'm hoping to use a Weltmeyer son on her this year (fingers crossed)

Ive got a gorgeous in temperament and movement orange boy, hes 17 hh with Weltmeyer as his mums sire and His Highness as his sire. He is stunning and i couldnt recomend those lines more.

Friend of ours has a Weltmeyer colt he's 3yo now i think, and he's very small.... only 15.1hh will probably only make 15.3hh despite the fact his mum is 16.2hh!
