Just read in the horse and hound that welton ambassador was put down on the 31st of december 2010!!! He was 25, but still sad, he sired quite a few eventers!!!

Hes the sire of the Stallion whos at stud next door to where i live. Hes the grand sire of a mare we bred who events at novice level and was sold for 15k so i think it comes down the breeding

Very sad, my mare is a Welton Louis granddaughter by Welton Wilful and I just love the Louis line, a bit bonkers but very good looking with beautiful manners.

he is my chaps sire and my chap has the most amazing temperment and ability, he sired so many good horse is sooo sad. I would imagin the Barrs are very upset even at his age it must have been very difficult for them he was an amazing stallion!!!!!
