Just a quick update for those interested. I called the person advertising the Akbash pup and she told me she had just sold her yesterday; and yes she was a full sister to my dog, from this years litter. Anyhow then she told me of a guy in town who had just bred a litter of pups; 8 weeks old, first vaccinations and deworming already done. The pups were Xbred Akbash; sire is my dog's full brother and dam is Husky X Retriever. They sounded nice so I popped round to have a look. Beautiful pups! Very friendly and very well socialised with people ... however the non purebred really put me off and watching the dam and the sire, they were both real homey looking; great as house dogs I'm sure, but too many question marks about whether the pup would turn out to be another home dog, like 3 of mine, or a LGD like my Akbash. So I walked away and will wait till the breeder of my dog breeds another litter, probably next June.
Thanks for all the help in my earlier thread. Oh and the reason the lady was selling the purebred was because the dog was very nervous and kept running away; bless her, it was her first experience of Akbash, and she told me, her last!
