...and it was fab!
The weather wasn't great, kept getting torrential showers but everyone was very good-humoured about it and scampered into the nearest stall to take cover! Funky wellies/Dubarry Boots were de rigeur.
Saw a bit of the jousting, and saw the Brewery Drays with the Shires, Percherons, Suffolk punches and Clydesdales who were all gorgeous. Caught a bit of Mary King's dressage demo, she was a tropper and carried on despite the rain! Also met StinkerStonkersMum and her very, very beautiful Donkey and saw a Fell Pony, which I got excited about because my ponio is a Fell Pony cross
I took my non-horsey mummy with me, and her highlight of the day was meeting two very friendly llamas.
We also met an alpaca who I think looked a lot like Michael Jackson..what do you think? http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t318/bexboo1984/01072007311.jpg
All in all it was a fab day out...the only slightly hairy moment was getting the car out of the car park, most people were having to be pushed out of the mud because they'd got stuck, we were sliding all over the place....and this is only the first day, can't imagine what it'll be like by Wednesday!
