Well we drove 3 hours to view the horse that had been recommended to us and it was a bit of a disappointment to say the least.

Beautiful girl, very pretty and very well mannered on the ground, but she lacked a lot of basis training and would have needed a minimum of 3 months in training to get her light. It was a bit like steering a Thames barge in a high wind!

They were asking 6K for her we would have been prepared to pay 3,800 max due to her looks and breeding but to be honest she did not make my heart beat faster so for me it was a no go.

I think I have been spoiled riding my instructors horses! and I have already decided that i want something that is right now that may well need a tweek but not an intensive 3 month training with no guarantees to get what I want.

Still it was a nice day and we went and had Schnitzels and beer at lunchtime ::)

I think I will stop looking for a while now.
