At the riding school and hes doing super , seems to agree with him and all the kids are loving him , He was doing a lead rein lesson this morning with a 5 year old little girl, and then another little girl who is 9 was riding him , she wants my number lol incase I change my mind in selling him , bless her

She was delighted to tell me that she was jumping him over a 70cm fence and that he was great . I couldnt get away from her lol .

Anyhooos ..... He is doing well, I have a lady coming to see him on the 4th of sept for loan, So going to see what she has to offer .

Im still in 2 minds on what to do , At the same time I dont want tommy turning into a riding school pony as such , I dont want him getting bored of flatwork and learning bad habits , but on the plus side it is a wonderful yard and all ponies are cared for to the highest standard , They arent worked too hard , The riding school owner is a lovely lady who I used to work for .
Dont know what to do for the best

Hubbie got laid off work a few weeks ago, and although hes now gone self employed , Financially we could do with a break from paying livery and the keeping of him over the winter if Im being honest, Just until we get on our feet again .

Plus I think it will do tommy the world of good as lately haven't had the time of day , so with tiarnan going back to school and just a few other things popping up it seems the right thing to do .
I defintely don't want to sell , its only a short term fix ( 6 mths ), like I said until we get back on our feet .

Hacking_Hack ... Hes here at the minute

Sorry to hear about the OH, it's happening everywhere, isn't it?
I thought I've have tonnes of time for my own horse when I went self-employed but I don't think I've sat down for the past two months!

Looks and sounds like he is in a good place, best of luck!

At least he's settled and happy where he is in the meantime and if the loan home looks like it'll work then see how you feel then. If it's only a short term thing though I'd be tempted to keep him where he is as there will ultimately be less emotional attachment on the riding school side than there would be if he went out on loan.

I'd take him on loan if you were nearer!

I'm glad he's settling ok. You definitely don't want to sell him, he's one of those ponies you keep hold of.

I'd be inclined to keep him at the school. Unless you have a very good loanee then it's too much hassle sometimes. (that sounds awful, it really isn't meant to)
